Kentriki Odos recognizes the need for the continuous and uninterrupted operation of the highways under its responsibility, as this derives from the Concession Agreement and also from its corporate strategy, and therefore implements throughout the entire range of Motorway Operation and Maintenance activities a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS), which is certified according to the International Standard ISO 22301:2019.
The BCMS includes a set of tools and resources aimed at dealing with any unforeseen situation or emergency event that may affect the smooth operation of the motorways.
Within this framework, the company’s critical activities as well as potential risks that can affect the company’s business continuity, i.e. the ability to provide continuous operation of the highways, have been identified. Based on these critical activities and the most important risks, business continuity plans are designed and being implemented, which include responsibilities and alternative strategies for dealing with situations that may affect business continuity and the restoration of systems to their normal operation.
Some indicative measures applied within the context of BCMS are the use of modern technologies and equipment, ensuring the adequacy of resources, the implementation of emergency exercises for specific business continuity scenarios, and the regular training of employees.
The Company’s commitment to the continuous and uninterrupted operation of the motorways and the improvement of business continuity levels throughout its activities is included its Business Continuity Policy.
