Ongoing investments are required in order to keep unchanged the quality characteristics of contemporary motorways. Paying toll rates is one of the most effective methods for financing construction and maintenance, as well as improving our cutting-edge motorways.

In accordance with the institutional framework of Kentriki Odos, the toll rate per station is determined as follows:

  • At each frontal toll station, the toll rate is determined per direction, based on the total length of the zone to which it belongs.
  • At the exit from lateral toll stations, the toll rate corresponds to the length traveled from the beginning of the zone to which the station belongs, up to the station.
  • In the lateral toll stations, the toll rate corresponds to the length of the road to be travelled by the user from the toll station to the end of the zone.

At this stage, Kentriki Odos operates two frontal toll stations (Agia Triada and Mavromantila), as well as four lateral toll stations in Molos, Bralos (Thermopiles), Agia Marina and Stylida (Karavomilos).

The first charging zone consists of section between Skarfia to Roditsa I/C, of a total length of 27,5km (25,5km charging length). The following toll stations are located within this zone: Agia Triada Frontal toll station and Molos Lateral toll stations (Exit Toll Station, direction towards Athens – Lamia /Entrance Toll Station, direction towards Lamia – Athens) and Thermopiles (Entry Toll Station, direction towards Athens – Lamia / Exit Toll Station, direction towards Lamia – Athens).

The second charging zone consists of section between Roditsa I/C to the end of the motorway at Raches, of a total length of 29,5km (27,5km charging length). The following toll stations are located within this zone: Mavromantila Frontal Toll Station and Agia Marina, Stylida / Karavomilos (Entry Toll Station, direction towards Athens – Thessaloniki / Exit Toll Station, direction towards Thessaloniki – Athens) Lateral Toll Stations.

Under no circumstances can any user who has paid the toll fee at the frontal station pay again at a lateral station in the same zone, during the same journey. Respectively, under no circumstances can any user who has paid the toll fee at the lateral station pay again at a frontal station in the same zone, during the same journey.
